Ali's Discovery First Annual Golf Tournament
Thanks again to everyone who joined us for our kickoff event. The great momentum generated by the outing will carry us right into our next gala: a night of bowling and festivities on a date TBA. Anyone who has access to a celebrity bowler should contact Marianne...although she probably already has one (or more) lined up.
Below are some photos from the day. If you recognize your group and there is no caption, please contact us at alisdiscovery@yahoo.com so we can update the site. If you would like a framed 8x10 photo, email us at the above address.
Inly School tribute to Ali
Tuesday, November 20th
Thank you to the Inly community for their loving remembrance of our angel. Many of Ali's and our fondest memories took place there, so we are grateful that her legacy will live on through the Inly family. We are forever indebted to the school, its faculty and students for instilling in Ali the love of learning, friendship, curiosity, kindness and so much more. Every child should be lucky enough to experience the joys of such a positive and nurturing environment.
The Parkway Run in Philadelphia
Sunday, September 30th
On Sunday, September 30th a group of Ali's friends and family ("Ali's Team") participated in The Parkway Run in Philadelphia. It is an annual event that benefits the Cancer Center at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The event has raised $1.3 million, the entire proceeds of which have gone to researching cures and bettering the lives of childhood cancer survivors.
We invited all to help raise money for a great cause that is close to our hearts. It was a chance to gather, reminisce and have some fun in Ali's honor on a beautiful fall day. This is just the sort of event that Ali loved .
